Fiction
Most of my fiction is gaming-related, and much of it is in fragmentary form.
- Character Fiction: Orinda
- The Fairy Godfather. Dworkin tests Orinda to see if she has what it takes to study with him.
- The Errand Boy. A fragment of backstory between Orinda and William.
- Thraxos. The beginning of the end of the profitable partnership between Orinda and Captain Holdsclaw.
- Learning to Juggle: Part one of The Education of Orinda de Flaumel, unfinished.
- Political Science, Practical Studies: Part two of The Education of Orinda de Flaumel, unfinished.
- Outline of Gerard, Tyrant of Amber: A play about the events of the campaign.
- Fragment from Gerard, Tyrant of Amber: From the play.
- Character Fiction: Paulette, The Court of Love (fragment).
- Character Fiction: Starwind, The Knight of the Rose Sword.
- Character Fiction: Clarisse, It's a Pain in the Ass ... The GM requires new players in Enclaves to write their own prologue and uses it as a basis for bringing them into the campaign. This was mine.
Not So Serious
- My (winning) entry in the Amber mailing list Iron Chef competition.
- Catastrophe: My cat Lionors sees strange cats outside the window. A true, if somewhat exaggerated, story.
- Some parodies of popular music.
More Serious Stuff
- A paper I gave to the Southwestern Social Science Association in 1991 that summarizes the basic points of my Master's thesis.
- The bibliography for my Master's thesis.
- A paper I wrote in college comparing and contrasting bodice-rippers and the Penthouse Forum. The writing could stand some harsh editing, but the concept was solid, and the analysis got me an A. This was the major paper in a "Sociology of Gender" class, which wasn't as obnoxious as it sounds.
